Corset During Pregnancy
One of the most beautiful aspects of pregnancy is, without a doubt, the pregnant belly that grows day by day and looks very cute. But this belly that helps you grow and carry your baby can sometimes cause extreme back pain. In case of such problems become dangerous, some doctors recommend the use of pregnancy corsets, but many of them warn that body tightening clothing should be avoided.
Every human body shape and structure is different and unique. This situation does not change during pregnancy stages. While some of the women’s belly swollen slightly, some of them can reach a considerable size. The questions that women who have a large belly are very curious about the use of corsets during pregnancy is :
- Does dressing tight in pregnancy hurt the baby?
- In which months should the pregnancy corset be used?
Wearing a corset when you’re 2 months pregnant?
The corset is a device made of hard material and shows the body thin. Especially because it is a product that tightens the abdomen, the use of it in pregnancy brings to mind the question whether it can harm the baby.
Since a 2 month pregnant woman’s abdomen is not yet fully visible, there is no condition that requires a pregnancy corset. Therefore, in terms of the development of the baby in the womb, it is good for mothers to avoid tight and belly disturbing clothes.
Wearing a corset when you’re 3 months pregnant?
The mother’s belly begins to show itself on the third month. Body changes will begin to occur with the weight gain of the mother and the swellings from time to time. As mentioned above, during pregnancy stages, especially in the abdominal areas, comfortable and large clothes should be preferred. For this reason, a 3 month pregnant woman is not recommended to use a corset by experts. Corsets and clothing that tightens the body make it difficult for the baby in the womb to breathe and it restricts his/her movement.
After 4 months comfortable and wide clothes should be preferred
With the 4th month, the mother’s abdomen is now more evident and the discomforts may start with this month. Enlargement of the abdomen can cause extreme back pain, abdominal wall insufficiency, and even rarely cause a miscarriage danger. In such cases, doctors may recomend specially crafted pregnancy corsets.
Sometimes the big and flabby belly can cause concerns about the external appearance of the mother. However, as long as your doctor does not recommend, you should avoid using a corset to show only the belly smaller and tight. Especially after the 4th month, comfortable and wide clothing preference is important for the comfort of the baby and his/her organs as much as the comfort of the mother.
